ठहराव का इक ठिकाना, मेरे भीतर नहीं है आज तक,
मैं किश्तियों को खेता रहा, अपनी हसरतों की आज तक,
सिलसिलें जो थे ग़मों के,वो सिलसिलेवार रहे आते जाते,
मैं मायूसियों में अपनी खुशियाँ टटोलता रहा बस आज तक,
कहने को वो थे अपने,पर दुश्मनी रहे हमसे युहीं निभाते,
खोने के डर से उनको, बस माफ़ करता रहा मैं अब तक,
ये सितम क्या कम थे, जो हमेशा रहे हम कमतर बनके,
मैं क्या उड़ता हवा में, बस पैरों तले जमीं न मिली अब तक
ठहराव का इक ठिकाना, मेरे भीतर नहीं है आज तक,
